저는 학부에서 디자인을 전공하고 대학원에서 바이오메디컬아트를 전공하였습니다.
저는 대학에서 디자인을 전공하며 '디자인이란 무엇인가?'라는 질문보다 '어떤 컨텐츠와 디자인이 만나면 더 큰 시너지를 낼 수 있을까?'를 고민하며 다양한 사회적 디자인 프로젝트를 진행했습니다. 인쇄 관련 디자인에도 관심이 있었지만, 인터랙션이 가능한 디지털 매체에 더 큰 관심을 가지게 되어 디지털예술학을 연계전공하였습니다. 그리고 자연스럽게 다양한 디지털 뉴미디어를 실험적으로 활용하는 미디어아트에 대한 호기심이 생겨 미디어아트 미술관에 입사하여 약 1년간 디자인 및 전시 업무를 담당했습니다.
대학원에서 공공성의 성격이 큰 의학과 예술이 융합된 바이오메디컬일러스트 석사 과정 공부를 마쳤습니다. 많은 사람들이 어려워하는 의생명과학 지식을 보다 쉽고 명확하게 전달하기 위한 시각적 표현을 고민하며 인체해부학을 비롯한 의학지식과 여러 디지털 디자인 툴 공부를 하고 있습니다.

I majored in design in college and worked on a variety of social design projects, rather than asking, 'What is design?' I thought about what content and design can create a greater synergy. Although I was interested in printing-related design, I became more interested in interactive digital media, so I majored in digital art. Naturally, I was intrigued by media art experimenting with a variety of digital new media, so I joined the Media Art Museum and was in charge of design in the curatorial team for about a year.
I studied in graduate school for a master's degree in Biomedical Illustration, which combines medicine and art with a highly public nature. I'm studying medical knowledge and digital design tools, including human anatomy, as I dream of becoming a 'BioMedical Illustrator,' which many people are struggling with in order to convey more easily and clearly the knowledge of medical science.
